I will take you to discover Cerchiara di Calabria, a wonderful village located 650 meters above sea level, overlooking the plain of Sibary. The historic center is lined with a stone perch on Mount Sellaro and its circular shape, in the Middle Ages, was called the Circlarium. Nearby, in the 15th century, the wonderful Sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Armi (“St Mary of the Weapons”) was built, which will be the first stop on this itinerary. The architectural complex is set in rock and the interior incorporates the cave, where is the miraculous image of Our Lady, which is celebrated on April 25th of each year. At the end of the visit, we will find the bread path and an old mill, inside which the Bread Museum was created, because Cerchiara was named "City of Bread" and received many awards for the quality of this product. After visiting the historic center, we will stop for lunch at a restaurant to taste typical local cuisine. We will move on to Sibary for a visit to the archaeological park and the museum, where there are artifacts dating from Magna Graecia, up to the Roman civilization, especially artifacts related to the cities of Sibari, Thurii and Copia. One of the most interesting discoveries is a bronze statue in the shape of a bull kicking, that is, with the head reclined downwards. The statuette is considered, together with Riace Bronzes, one of the most important discoveries of the bronzes of Magna Graecia. Return to Cosenza.

After 6 days: penalty of 100% of the total amount
